RESPONSIBILITIES:
Retail Operations
- Direct operations of Retail business activities to ensure current and future plans of the organization are met.
- Manage and supervise adidas sales and retail shops operations, including own retails, factory outlets, and offsite sales events
- Develop business operational plans and delivery of contingency plans where necessary
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and corporate affairs requirements on a timely basis as appropriate.
- Enhance the standards and procedures regarding retail operations, customer services, are adhered to by retail staff
- Manages retail development research and reporting process
- Supervise and manage the customer service flow, including handling compliments and complaints
- Work closely with Retail Back office, CRM and Retail Marketing team to develop effective communication of Marketing Plans to retail
Planning
- Provides input to and participates in the design of adidas strategies in relation to retail development and sales achievement, including but not limited to buying, inventory and manpower
- Sales planning and analysis for adidas retail shops
- Participates in further development of retail structure and shops expansion
- Provides budgetary input
Training & Development
- Work closely with HR and Retail Training teams to plan and design all aspects of training and development for sales force, e.g. induction, on-the-job, product skills, customers service, selling technique training, etc
- Work with Retail Training team to identify and recommend appropriate training courses for retail sales force
- Ensures that all team members are properly trained and that all standards and policies & procedures are strictly adhered to
- Field coaching and visits are required on a regular basis
- Actively participates in all departmental level training and development initiatives and activities
Human Resource Management
- Provides leadership and direction for the retail staff
- Sets performance plans and reviews with team members
- Plans include goals, key job responsibilities, competency development, measures, and follow-up activities
- Reviews include goals, key job responsibilities, company values, competency development
- Develops workforce planning for the sales force
- Works closely with the HR Department on the plan and needs for the team
- Cooperates with Retail Director, HR, Training, and District Managers to identify future leaders for adidas and builds development plans for and with them; at the same time monitor and review any under performers and builds improvement plans with relevant HR, Training and District Managers accordingly.
- Provides coaching & feedback to subordinates
- Performs a high level of teamwork
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10 years of retail operations in which 5 years must be in supervisory role in retail chain
- Bachelor’s degree
