ROLE OBJECTIVES
A Senior Sales Engineer will provide technical consultation, design customized solutions, support the sales team, engage with customers, manage projects, conduct training, analyze the market, represent the company at industry events, and achieve yearly sales targets. This role combines technical expertise and sales acumen to ensure client satisfaction and company growth. The position involves identifying new business opportunities, developing and implementing effective sales strategies, and working closely with clients and internal teams to drive revenue and meet or exceed the company's sales goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Participate in the entire sales process: From initial discovery and project review to design submission and component installation.
- Provide technical sales support: Assist customers and the sales team with technical information and solutions.
- Develop sales and marketing strategies: Create strategies for key market segments.
- Present technical perspectives: Work with customers to present technical aspects of the company's offerings.
- Collaborate with internal teams: Work with local operations teams to obtain contractor quotes and support sales opportunities.
- Provide alternative solutions: Offer solutions to meet unique customer needs.
- Develop training programs: Create and implement training programs for the sales organization.
- Represent the company: Attend industry forums, conferences, and events.
- Conduct technical presentations: Deliver presentations to potential customers and technical teams.
- Generate sales leads: Identify and generate new business opportunities
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of sales engineering experience, preferably in the panel builder industry.
- Strong understanding of low-voltage products, electrical systems, and panel building.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present technical information to nontechnical audiences.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical solutions to customer needs.
- Experience in managing large accounts and overseeing projects from start to finish
- Familiarity with 2D and 3D design tools (e.g., Autodesk, Solidworks), and enterprise IT systems.
- Ability to provide technical training and support to clients, and to build strong relationships with customers.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
