KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quality Leadership & Team Management:
- Establish quality goals in alignment with global quality requirements; provide clear direction to QA/QC teams and set KPIs for all team members.
- Review team performance on a daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual basis to ensure continuous improvement.
- Manage, train, and develop CI and QC teams to maintain strong quality control capability and improvement execution.
- Quality Systems & Process Optimization:
- Utilize quality control systems and related applications effectively; provide feedback for system enhancements and train team members on updated features.
- Standardize processes, build and improve SOPs, and optimize workflow to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
- Collect and analyze quality data; prepare performance reports and recommend improvement actions based on findings.
- Supplier Quality Management:
- Oversee quality performance across manufacturing suppliers, ensuring compliance with organizational quality standards.
- Collaborate with factory management to clearly communicate quality expectations and drive process improvements.
- Lead and monitor supplier-driven quality improvement projects, ensuring timely completion and measurable quality enhancements.
- Continuous Improvement & Lean Deployment:
- Implement Lean, Value Engineering, Kaizen, PDCA, A3, and other CI methodologies to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Lead CI projects including scoping, planning, execution, and evaluation of results.
- Apply CI tools such as value stream mapping, process mapping, 6S, and standard work to strengthen operational efficiency.
- Customer Complaint Handling & Quality Projects:
- Respond immediately to customer complaints; coordinate cross-functional assessments, update SOPs, and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Train internal teams and suppliers to ensure alignment with quality standards and prevent recurring issues.
- New Product Launch Support:
- Work closely with product development teams to support new product introductions, conduct pre-production reviews, and ensure quality readiness before mass production.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with quality teams, regional offices, and cross-functional departments to ensure consistency in quality standards and processes.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and implement relevant improvements into quality operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; preferred fields include Engineering, Operations Management, or related disciplines.
- Equivalent experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Continuous Improvement within a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years in a supervisory or team management role.
- Strong experience with quality systems, production process control, and continuous improvement tools.
- Technical Knowledge:
- A3, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis
- Value Stream Mapping, Process Flow Mapping
- 6S, Visual Management, Kaizen
- Just-in-Time, Standard Work
- Quality at the Source
- Ability to read engineering drawings/ CAD.
- Knowledge of document management, record control, and KPI frameworks.
- Experience in project management.
