We are looking for a candidate for Head of Digital Products & Engineering located in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

Job Purposes: 
  • The Software Development Associate Director is responsible for leading the design, development, deployment of innovative HR SaaS solutions, and optimization of cutting-edge software solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • A Software Development Associate Director is a strategic technology leader who combines deep technical expertise with strong management and leadership. They are responsible for shaping the future of software development, driving digital transformation, and ensuring that software teams deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
  • Candidates with experience in HR Technology or Operational Systems will have a competitive advantage.
Job Description:

a. Software Development, & Delivery:

  • Manage the full SDLC, ensuring high-quality code, timeline delivery, and adherence to Agile or DevOps methodologies.
  • Oversee integration of APIs, third-party tools, and data security frameworks to enhance product capability and compliance.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and optimized for cloud-based environment (e.g. AWS, Azure, or GCP).

b. Data Management & Generative AI/ ML/ LLM Knowledge: 

  • Implement data management strategies to ensure data quality and security.
  • Leverage analytics for informed decision-making.
  • Experience with Generative AI/ ML/ LLM technologies and solutions is a significant advantage.

c. Cloud Computing Expertise: 

  • Oversee SaaS product development, ensuring market readiness and alignment with business goals.
  • Utilize cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

d. Project Management: 

  • Lead software projects from inception to delivery, ensuring they are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and resources for seamless execution.

e. Agile Leadership: 

  • Implement Agile methodologies to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
  • Cultivate a culture of adaptability, learning, and innovation.

f. Engineering Management & Stakeholder Communication: 

  • Lead and mentor technical teams to excel and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes knowledge sharing, technical upskilling, and process improvement.
  • Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders to align technical initiatives with business priorities.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for clients, addressing custom solution needs and technical escalations.

g. Problem Solving & Business Adaptability: 

  • Address complex challenges with innovative, scalable solutions.
  • Adapt to dynamic business environments to deliver impactful results.

h. Quality Assurance and Compliance: 

  • Establish and enforce coding standards, testing protocols, and deployment best practices.
  • Monitor product performance, address bottlenecks, and optimize performance.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Who are we looking for: 
  • Graduated from University/College major in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development and management, including:
    • Software development manager or Engineering Manager.
    • Expertise in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), microservices architecture, and SaaS product development.
    • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Agile & DevOps Best Practices
    • Agile frameworks: Scrum, Kanban.
    • DevOps principles: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated testing.
    • Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes. Security & Compliance.
    • Implementation of secure coding practices, data encryption, and access control.
    • Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and other compliance standards. Emerging Technology & Innovation.
    • Knowledge of Generative AI/ ML/ LLM.
  • People management: Built and scaled high-performing engineering teams. Expertise in technical hiring, mentorship, and talent retention. Implemented performance management frameworks for engineers.
  • The ideal candidate can/have: 
    • Proven track record of successfully leading and transforming business development sales teams; achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
    • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering technical projects with relevant solutions and driving business growth.
    • Demonstrates high emotional intelligence (EQ) in their leadership style. Be adept at understanding and managing their own emotions, as well as empathizing with others. Build strong relationships, navigate complex interpersonal dynamics, and lead with compassion and integrity. Fosters trust, collaboration, and a positive organizational culture, enabling them to effectively guide and support their team.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Results-oriented with a passion for achieving and exceeding targets.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities in English & Vietnamese. Develops influence strategies based on a full understanding of key decision makers and other relevant people Uses chains of indirect influence or solicits and engages the support of like-minded individuals to help persuade clients. 
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities in English & Vietnamese. Candidate with proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and market trends and ability to envision long-term objectives while executing on short-term goals.
  • The ideal candidate must have these general competencies: HRM Overview Knowledge, Product/ Solutions Knowledge, Client Management, Project Management, Operation Management, Problem solving & Decision making.
  • Have business Knowledge, insights, strategies and solutions: Recognizes how the business works, understands and applies commercial and financial principles to create selling opportunities​.
