We are looking for a candidate for Head Of Digital and Technology located in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
Job Purposes:
The Head of Digital & Technology leads the entire strategy, development, and operation of Talentnet’s digital platforms, products, and infrastructure, including internal tools, HR tech products, and IT infrastructure. This role ensures scalable, secure technology solutions that drive operational excellence, innovation, digital experience, client value, and business growth. The role oversees all IT and digital-related functions, including:
- Digital Product Teams: comprising Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA.
- IT Operations: Service Desk, Infrastructure, DevOps, and GRC
- Product Operations: support and operation of internal and customer-facing products
Job Description:
a. Digital Strategy & Vision:
- Define and own the digital product portfolio strategy aligned with company growth priorities and evolving client needs (internal and external)
- Translate strategic business goals into product roadmaps for internal operational tools and market-facing HR tech solutions.
- Identify new product opportunities in emerging areas such as analytics, Gen AI and LLMs.
- Navigating co-existence of legacy internal systems, new custom-built tools, and integration with third-party platforms.
b. Software Development, Delivery and Operations:
- Key escalation points for the full SDLC, ensuring high-quality product, and timeline delivery.
- Lead, mentor and structure cross-functional teams of developers, product owners, QA, DevOps, and application support.
- Establish clear operating rhythms, including sprint planning, delivery check-ins, and stakeholder reviews.
c. AI/ GenAI/ ML/ LLM:
- Champion the integration of AI, ML, LLMs, and automation into product design and delivery to unlock productivity and insights.
- Develop pilot use cases and experimentation models for AI within internal tools and client-facing offerings.
- Promote data-driven decision making by ensuring products are built with data capture, analytics, and performance tracking.
d. On-premises and Cloud Computing Expertise:
- Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and optimized for both on-premises and cloud-based environment (e.g. AWS, Azure, or GCP).
e. Agile Leadership:
- Implement Agile methodologies to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
- Cultivate a culture of adaptability, learning, and innovation.
- Foster a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative culture, with a strong focus on engineering excellence and agility, knowledge sharing, technical upskilling, and agility.
f. Stakeholder & Business Engagement:
- Act as a key partner to business unit heads, HR, operations, and commercial teams to co-create digital solutions.
- Many initiatives are strategic and directly tied to top management expectations, requiring excellent stakeholder management and storytelling.
- Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders to align technical initiatives with business priorities.
- Act as a technical point of contact for clients, addressing custom solution needs and technical escalations.
g. Platform & Infrastructure Resilience & Support:
- Ensure IT infrastructure, systems, security, networks and core applications meet performance, scalability, and security standards to support business continuity.
- Oversee application support and technical operations, driving service excellence and root cause problem-solving.
h. Problem Solving & Business Adaptability:
- Address complex challenges with innovative, scalable solutions.
- Adapt to dynamic business environments to deliver impactful results.
i. Risk, Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure data privacy, compliance, and ethical practices, especially in sensitive HR and client data contexts.
- Establish product and technology governance frameworks that cover lifecycle management, architecture, and scalability, such as standards, testing protocols, and deployment best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Who are we looking for:
- Graduated from University/College Major in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in software development, product engineering, or digital transformation, with 5+ years in a leadership role:
- Proven ability to define and execute a technology strategy aligned with business goals—covering product portfolio and roadmaps, architecture, infrastructure, and innovation.
- Digital product leadership solid experience in building and scaling digital platforms (internal and/or client-facing), preferably including SaaS, HR Tech, or B2B platforms.
- End-to-end product development (SDLC): Demonstrated track record of owning the full software delivery lifecycle with quality and timely delivery and measurable business outcomes.
- Strong exposure to enterprise IT operations: service desk, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data privacy, compliance (GRC), and business continuity.
- Demonstrated ability to embed novel technologies (e.g. AI//GenAI/LLM) and experience building or integrating data and analytics platforms into business decision-making process is a strong plus.

Cloud infrastructure and DevOps knowledge: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP for scalable Must have solution deployment. Familariarity DevOps and CI/CD principles.

Experience working with Agile/Lean methodologies and modern product management frameworks

Business acumen: Experience in working with C-suite stakeholders. Track record in translating strategic business goals into product roadmaps, digital transformation programs and managing change across business and technical teams.

- Transformative leadership: Proven track record of successfully leading and transforming teams. Cross-functional team leadership: Strong experience leading multidisciplinary teams (e.g. developers, POs, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, support) in building and maintaining scalable digital platforms.
- Communication & presentation: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities in English & Vietnamese. Develops influence strategies based on a full understanding of key decision makers and other stakeholders.
- People management: Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across business, tech, and operations, ability to lead teams through organizational change, scaling, and capability uplift and performance management for technical staff and engineers.
- The ideal candidate must have a Strategic thinking mindset: With the ability to analyze data and market trends. Product and platform-oriented with an ability to envision long-term objectives while executing on short-term goals.
- The ideal candidate must have a Result driven mindset: With a passion for achieving and exceeding targets.
