RESPONSIBILITIES:
Legal Compliance:
- Ensure that the firm complies with all relevant rules and regulations governing intellectual property, data protection, and consumer rights.
- Monitor and respond to changes in applicable legislation and the regulatory environment.
Contract Management:
- Draft, evaluate, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including licensing, development, collaboration, and employment agreements.
- Manage and update a database of all legal papers and contracts.
Intellectual Property:
- Protect and defend the company's intellectual property rights, such as trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
- Manage the company's intellectual property portfolio and resolve any IP-related issues.
Risk Management:
- Identify possible legal issues and provide proactive measures to reduce them.
- Provide guidance on risk management methods and procedures to preserve the company's interests.
Corporate Governance:
- Assist Board of Directors and top management with corporate governance challenges.
- Ensure that the company's corporate governance rules and procedures are up to date and comply with legal obligations.
Dispute Resolution:
- Manage legal issues or litigation affecting the organization.
- Collaborate with outside legal counsel as needed to swiftly settle issues.
Internal Legal Advice:
- Provide daily legal guidance to the company's numerous departments
- Conduct legal research and analysis to help businesses make choices.
Others:
- Perform other tasks as required by the line manager and Board of Management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree, major in Law from an accredited institution. Graduated from ULAW/HLU are preferable.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a legal practitioner, preferably in corporate and commercial law in Vietnam.
- Experience in the gaming, entertainment, or technology industry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with international legal issues, preferably including one Commonwealth jurisdiction.
- Experience with data protection regulations
- Good at English skills
