RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish, streamline and optimize purchasing policies, procedures and best practices. Monitor ongoing compliance to ensure all materials are purchased in a transparent and efficient way.
- Lead, motivate and coach the purchasing team to the right direction, monitor and analyze purchasing performance, identify areas for improvement and drive for continuous improvement.
- Continuous supplier base optimization and supplier relationship management. Define and manage supplier portfolios, develop strategic relationships with key suppliers.
- Continuously identify strategic sourcing opportunities, formulate and lead negotiation strategies across supplier base to deliver sustainable saving pipelines.
- Develop the road map through analyzing spending and identifying cost reduction opportunities, define the commodity cost drivers and screen commodity portfolio for cost savings.
- Communication and coordination between departments, partner effectively with internal/external partners to resolve issues and enhance efficiency.
- Provide leadership in VN local purchasing process with regional alignment and actively look for improvement opportunities.
- Implement company management decisions and reporting.
- Build a strong purchasing team and successor
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10 years or above working experience in sizeable EMS companies, minimum 5 years team management experience is a MUST.
- Familiarity with global sourcing, production, and logistics. demonstrate understanding of the vendor landscape and relationships with suppliers.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and develop metrics and presentations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Result-oriented with strong leadership and management skills, able to motivate team members to achieve desired results.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work under pressure and strive for deadlines.
- Highly skilled negotiator and comfortable dealing in complex international environment, problem solving oriented
- Understand the ways of doing business in an international environment with multicultural mindset.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken English.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. CPSM/CPM preferred.
