Key Responsibilities:
- Macro & Fixed Income Research:
- Conduct in-depth macroeconomic and fixed-income market research to generate investment insights and recommendations.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance analytical models for macro and fixed-income asset classes.
- Formulate trading strategies and investment views for fixed income portfolios and other asset classes when required.
- Monitor market developments, track performance, and recommend timely adjustments to investment strategies.
- Provide regular and ad-hoc updates on macroeconomic trends, bond markets, and related asset classes.
- Perform additional macro-related research duties as assigned.
- Company, Sector & Market Analysis:
- Analyze companies, industries, and sectors to support investment decisions and identify opportunities/risks.
- Build and update databases, valuation models, and scorecards for research purposes.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful research outputs and recommendations.
- Proactively monitor sector/industry developments and adjust research models accordingly.
- Support related analytical tasks as required.
- Portfolio Management:
- Assist in managing fixed-income portfolios, ensuring alignment with investment objectives and risk guidelines.
- Develop and recommend investment strategies for fixed-income funds and portfolios.
- Construct, rebalance, and optimize portfolio models across asset classes and strategies.
- Review and monitor portfolio risk, performance attribution, and instrument-level contributions.
- Recommend portfolio adjustments regularly and as needed based on market conditions and research findings.
- Prepare portfolio reports and support other portfolio management activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Investment, Statistics, or related fields.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fixed income research, macroeconomic analysis, or portfolio management (buyside or sellside preferred).
- Strong understanding of fixed income instruments, interest rate markets, credit analysis, and macroeconomic frameworks.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analytics, and quantitative tools (Excel, Bloomberg, Python/R preferred).
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate research into actionable investment recommendations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate investment views clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
- Strong team player with a proactive mindset and high attention to detail.
